Center for Research on Cognition and Learning

Director: Michael E. Martinez

Assistant Director: Jeneen Graham

Purpose: The purpose of the Center for Research on Cognition and Learning (CRCL) is to advance our collective understanding of the human mind toward the end of improving its effectiveness. Affiliated faculty, students, and staff of CRCL design and conduct research on cognition and learning as applicable to STEM education, human intelligence, and complex cognition, as well as associations between cognition and personality traits that predict achievement in academic, work, and life arenas.

The Center’s two most prominent projects, Spatial Temporal Mathematics at Scale (ST Math) program and Brain Boost, are the foci of ongoing research.
