Congratulations to our 77 UCI/UCLA Joint Ed.D. Alumni
On February 2, 2012, 77 program graduates, teaching and advising faculty, and program staff from the UCI/UCLA Joint Ed.D. in Educational Administration gathered at the UC Irvine University Club to celebrate the culmination of the joint doctoral program. Since admission of the inaugural group of students, Cohort 1 in 1994, the program admitted nine more cohorts for a total of 10 cohorts from 1994 through 2003.
During the evening alumni reconnected with former classmates, instructors, and advisors; enjoyed Professor Michael E. Martinez's tribute to their accomplishments (see Alumni Tribute below); and shared both program memories and current activities. Department of Education Professor and Chair Deborah Lowe Vandell unveiled the commemorative plaque that will hang in the chair's reception area. The plaque lists each graduate, cohort affiliation, and year of degree (access photograph of plaque by clicking on second photograph below).
