Professor Mark Warschauer has been invited by Senator Elaine K. Alquist, Chair of the California Senate Select Committee on Emerging Technologies and Economic Competitiveness, to speak at the committee’s information hearing "Technology Integration in Education: Empowering the ‘iApp’ Generation for Global Competitiveness."
The hearing will be held Tuesday, October 11, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the NASA Ames Research Center, Moffett Field, California.
In her invitation, Senator Alquist, who represents California’s 13th Senate District in the heart of Silicon Valley, cited Professor Warschauer’s research and published work on how to transform schools with digital media and commented that his testimony will be helpful to the committee in identifying policy gaps that could be addressed by legislation in this next year.
Professor Warschauer recently released his latest publication: Learning in the Cloud: How (and Why) to Transform Schools with Digital Media.
