Professor Michael E. Martinez has been invited to join the Gordon Commission on the Future of Assessment in K-12 Education

The Commission is composed of a group of thought leaders, trailblazers, and innovators in academia, research, and policy who have joined together in a two-year study group. During this period, Commission will be studying emerging developments in the pedagogical, cognitive, and technological sciences in order to improve K–12 educational assessment ─ now and into the mid-21st century. The Commission's mission is to analyze the best assessment practices and our nation’s current and future educational needs, and generate recommendations that will improve pedagogical practice, educational measurement, and student achievement. Dr. Martinez attended the Commission's first meeting in Princeton, New Jersey, the last week in May.
