Appointed Chair-Designate/Chair of the AERA Books Editorial Board
Associate Professor Gilberto Q. Conchas has been appointed Chair-Designate/Chair of the Books Editorial Board of the American Educational Research Association (AERA). His appointment is for a four-year term starting at the conclusion of the 2011 AERA Annual Meeting through the 2015 Annual Meeting. Dr. Conchas will function as Chair-Designate for the first two years and as Chair for the final two.
The Books Editorial Board guides the AERA books publishing program, which aims to publish affordable works that advance knowledge, expand access to significant research and research analyses and syntheses, and promote use. The Board also has responsibility for receiving proposals, answering queries or interacting with others considering proposals, and preparing proposal for review. (Source: 5/16/11 Award Letter)
