Intern Teacher Credential
Introduction
Spring Start for Middle and High School Science, Math, and English Credentials is the official portal to an Internship.
If you have a strong background in science, math, or English as well as previous classroom teaching or related work experience, consider applying to the Spring Start Single Subject Credential Program.
After two quarters (spring and summer) of coursework and intensive school-based fieldwork, there are two ways to complete the program: through employment as an intern teacher (subject to district offer) in a partner school district or student teaching in a partner school district.
The UCI Intern Teacher Program is designed to meet the needs of local school districts to place highly qualified teachers in classrooms.

Fees and Support
Students in the Credential and MAT programs pay UCI Graduate Fees.
The Department of Education has a few special scholarships available for its students on a competitive basis. In addition, the UCI Financial Aid and Scholarships Office can assist you with general information about Cal Grant and federal and university loan programs, and other information about financing your graduate education can be found in the Office of Graduate Studies.
